# Who speaks in the States? The Guernsey Press runs the Scorecard's Hansard data

> A second Guernsey Press piece used the Scorecard's speaking data to ask who actually talks in the Assembly, and found one deputy 47 words short of the Gettysburg Address.

The Guernsey Press ran a separate story the same morning, built on the Scorecard's speaking data, which is drawn from the official Hansard transcript for every sitting since July 2025 rather than from the voting record.

Lindsay de Sausmarez tops the table on both measures, with 291 speaking turns and just over 79,000 words. John Gollop is second on volume, with 231 turns and around 73,000 words. At the other end, Bruno Kay-Mouat has spoken six times for 325 words in total, and Munazza Malik six times for 1,578.

The paper also used the Scorecard's debate-level breakdown, which shows which agenda items have dominated the chamber's time this term.

**The Gettysburg Address runs to only 272 words.
