Baroness Hayter of Kentish Town has engaged extensively on assisted dying and end-of-life care through 11 debate speeches, drawing on her experience running a cancer charity and her current involvement with care homes. She has consistently argued in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, emphasising that offering choice to dying people does not devalue life and that palliative care and assisted dying need not be mutually exclusive. She has also raised concerns about the pace of progress on fracture liaison services and highlighted the importance of public funding for palliative care.
