Biography
Mr Foster has engaged primarily through debate speeches on health and social care matters, with particular focus on cardiovascular disease and end-of-life care provision. He initiated a Commons debate on reducing premature deaths from heart disease and stroke, emphasising the need to scrutinise delivery of the Government's 25% reduction target, and has repeatedly raised concerns about funding gaps for palliative and end-of-life medicines at hospices, including promoting his "St Catherine's law" Private Member's Bill to place explicit obligations on integrated care boards to fund essential medications.
