Biography

Angela McConville served as Chief Executive of NCT (National Childbirth Trust), the UK's largest charity for parents, from January 2020 until October 2026, when she stepped down to become Executive Director of the Galen & Hilary Weston Foundation. Before NCT she was Chief Executive of The Greenwich Foundation and, prior to that, of Westway Trust, one of the UK's largest community development trusts; she began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds an MSc from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from Henley Business School. During her tenure she was appointed to NHS England's Maternity and Neonatal Stakeholder Council and was a consistent public voice calling for safer, better-funded and more equitable maternity and postnatal services in the UK.
