Dr Jaime Craig is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the elected Chair of the Association of Clinical Psychologists UK (ACP-UK), the representative professional body for clinical psychologists in the UK. ACP-UK is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that promotes evidence-based psychological principles and provides authoritative comment to government, policy makers and the media on health and social care. Craig holds a PhD from Clare Hall, Cambridge, focused on diagnostic features in childhood autism, and a DClinPsy with research on autism and psychosis in adults; he previously served as Research Tutor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Lancaster University. Clinically he has worked mainly in child and family mental health, and in recent years has specialised as an expert witness in the family courts, including leading development of guidance on psychologist experts for the Family Justice Council. He has represented clinical psychologists in discussions with the Scottish Government on workforce challenges, contributed to ACP-UK's engagement with the NHS 10-Year Workforce Plan, and publicly set out the profession's position on the Terminally Ill Adults (Assisted Dying) Bill.
