Biography

Paula Chadwick is Chief Executive of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, the only UK charity dedicated solely to lung cancer, headquartered in Liverpool. She joined the Foundation in 1995 as PA to its founder, Professor Ray Donnelly MBE, and progressed through the organisation to become HR Director before being appointed CEO in 2011–2012. She holds a Master's Degree in Personnel and Development from Liverpool John Moores University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). Chadwick has been a consistent public advocate for the rollout and protection of NHS lung cancer screening, arguing that full coverage across England must be secured by 2030. She is also known for challenging stigma around lung cancer, including the misconception that the disease affects only smokers.
