Biography

Dr Stephanie Sterry (MBBS, BSc Hons, MRCGP, MSc Women's Health) is an NHS GP with a special interest in women's health, based in a rural area of Suffolk, and also practises as an Advanced Menopause Practitioner at The Menopause Medic, a private clinic in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. She holds a Master's degree in Women's Health and is a British Menopause Society–registered specialist and a member of the International Menopause Society. Her MSc research focused on lifestyle approaches to managing menopause symptoms, including diet, supplements, exercise, sexual health, and genitourinary syndrome of the menopause. In August 2025 she co-authored a BMJ editorial arguing that the rise of commercial direct-to-consumer menopause services and routine hormone panel testing is harming patient care, and that symptom-driven, patient-centred management remains the clinical standard.
