Biography

Dr Jonathan Hazlehurst (BA, MBChB, DPhil, MRCP(UK)) is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, based at Heartlands Hospital, and an Academic Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Metabolism and Systems Science at the University of Birmingham. He is clinical lead of the Weight Management Service at Heartlands Hospital, running a large specialist NHS weight management service. He studied medicine and completed a DPhil at the University of Oxford. His research spans clinical trials, mapping of obesity service provision across England, and digital delivery of weight management care, including involvement in multiple NIHR-funded studies.
