Professor Pat Price is the founder and Chair of Trustees of Radiotherapy UK, the only UK national charity dedicated to improving radiotherapy treatment, and serves as Visiting Professor in the Division of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London. She is an academic clinical oncologist specialising in PET-based molecular imaging, advanced radiotherapy techniques, and translational research in oncology. She co-edits the standard UK oncology textbook 'Treatment of Cancer', now in its 7th edition, and served as President of the British Oncological Association from 2002 to 2004. Radiotherapy UK acts as secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Radiotherapy, and Price regularly provides briefing to government and has given evidence to the Health and Social Care Select Committee. She is widely known for co-founding the #CatchUpWithCancer campaign, which lobbied government for a national cancer recovery plan following Covid-19-induced treatment delays, and for co-authoring a 10-point cancer control blueprint published in The Lancet Oncology and launched in Parliament in November 2023.
