Who Vaibhav Modgil is

Professor Vaibhav Modgil is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Andrologist at the Manchester Andrology Centre, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Clinical Professor at the University of Manchester. He leads the highest-volume NHS andrology service in North West England, working across Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and the Northern Care Alliance, and heads the regional male factor infertility service at St Mary's Hospital. He is Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Urology & Men's Health (from November 2024), Vice Chair of the BAUS Andrology Section, and Associate Surgical Specialty Lead for Andrology at BAUS and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Southampton, completed higher surgical training in Manchester and Birmingham, and undertook fellowships in Perth (Australia) and at the UCLH Institute of Andrology before further specialist training in erectile dysfunction surgery in the USA. He is the founder and Director of the Manchester Andrology Research Collaborative (MARC) and has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers; he is publicly known for advocating men's health awareness, raising concern about unregulated penile filler procedures, and contributing to debate on testosterone screening policy.
