Data sources
Every source used across this site, by section, with a link to where it is published. For how these sources are turned into a record of divisions, see the methodology.
Scorecard: promises & voting record
Divisions
- Tynwald, Votes and Proceedings: the primary source for each sitting, printing the names of members who voted For and Against; every division is read from it
- Tynwald, Official Report (Hansard): the transcript of each sitting, read for divisions and checked against Votes and Proceedings, which wins where the two differ
- Tynwald, voting list (the electronic votes database; Tynwald Court only, from 2011): used to confirm how each member’s name is printed in a division
Tynwald publishes no data feed of House of Keys divisions. The Votes and Proceedings and Hansard documents are PDFs, and this scorecard reads the names printed in them.
Members and the 2026 election
- Tynwald, members of the House of Keys: each member’s name, constituency and offices, including the Speaker and Deputy Speaker
- iomelections.com, 2026 House of Keys general election: the candidate list, party labels and result for 24 September 2026
- Wikipedia, 2026 Manx general election: used to cross-check the candidates and the elected members
Manifestos
- iomelections.com, candidates: each candidate’s page, which links their manifesto where they published one; promises are read from these
- Manx Radio, 2026 election candidates: candidate pages and “Two Minutes to Tell Us” statements, used to find manifesto links and not read for promises
- Manx Labour: party site, where the party hosts its candidates’ manifestos
- Liberal Vannin: party site, used to find its candidates’ manifestos
- The Change Movement: party site, which carries the party-wide manifesto
- Internet Archive, Wayback Machine: a copy of each manifesto page or file was saved there, so a promise can be checked after the original changes or is taken down
Promises are read out of each manifesto by a language model, Anthropic’s Claude, and kept only where the quoted wording appears verbatim in the manifesto.
Corrections

Who builds this
The Isle of Man House of Keys Scorecard is built, paid for and maintained by Bridgehead Communications, a PR, public affairs and reputation consultancy. No member, party, Tynwald committee or campaign funds it. Nobody pays to appear on it, and nobody pays to have an entry corrected.
We publish it so that readers can see what members promised and how they voted, side by side, with each division traceable to the Tynwald document it was read from.
