Heylings has engaged extensively on end-of-life care and palliative services, delivering 37 debate speeches across health and social care topics including assisted dying, mental health, cancer, and NHS waiting lists. A particularly significant contribution was her speech on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill in September 2026, where she drew on a recent visit to a dedicated palliative care ward at Addenbrooke's Hospital in her constituency and personal experience following her sister's late-stage pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Beyond health policy, she has also advocated for education funding reform and environmental protections, particularly regarding chalk streams and water scarcity in her South Cambridgeshire constituency.
