Biography

Dr Amanda Sullivan is Chief Executive of the NHS Derby and Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) cluster, a role to which she was appointed by NHS England following the national clustering of East Midlands ICBs. She previously served as Chief Executive of NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB from July 2022, and before that as Accountable Officer for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG (2020–2022), overseeing the merger of six CCGs. Her NHS career spans almost four decades, beginning as a Staff Nurse in 1988 before she qualified as a Midwife and Consultant Midwife; she was awarded a PhD in 2001 for research investigating decision-making during pregnancy, and chaired a National Screening Committee working group that developed national standards for ultrasound consent in pregnancy. She has held senior Director of Nursing roles in primary care and acute trusts, and has been a proponent of integrated care, acting as Joint SRO of the Mid-Nottinghamshire Better Together Vanguard programme from 2014 to 2018.
