Biography

Ash Nicholls is the Lung Cancer Screening Programme Manager at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, an NHS Foundation Trust serving York, Scarborough, Bridlington, Selby, Malton, Whitby and surrounding communities in North Yorkshire. In this role, Nicholls oversees the delivery and rollout of the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Programme (formerly the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme) across the Trust's footprint. Nicholls led the first rollout phase in North Yorkshire when screening checks were introduced in Selby in January 2026, and subsequently oversaw their expansion to Scarborough.
