Dr Michelle Le Cheminant is a Consultant Anaesthetist and, since January 2026, Chair of the Medical Specialist Group (MSG) in Guernsey — the first female and youngest person to hold that position since the group's establishment in 1992. The MSG provides emergency and elective specialist medical services for the Bailiwick of Guernsey in partnership with the States of Guernsey. She joined the MSG in 2019 as a locum Consultant Anaesthetist, was made permanent in 2020, and served as Deputy Chair before being appointed Chair. She studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and qualified with an MBBS from King's College London, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014. She has publicly argued for adapting healthcare services to meet the demands of Guernsey's ageing population and has emphasised patient-centred care as the core priority of the MSG.
