Biography

Dr Susanna Unsworth is a GP-trained menopause and women's health specialist based in Cambridge. She trained at Pembroke College, University of Cambridge, qualified in 2005, and joined the GP register in 2010 after training in the East of England Deanery. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Gynaecology from the University of Bradford, an Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care from the FSRH, and is listed on the British Menopause Society Register of Menopause Specialists. She founded Cambridge Women's Health in 2020 to provide specialist, evidence-based menopause care, and concurrently works as a Specialist Breast Physician at the Cambridge Breast Unit, Addenbrooke's Hospital, and as a Community Gynaecology Specialist GP in Essex. She has published on menopause after breast cancer in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Women's Health, and argues publicly that women with overstretched NHS access to menopause services — including those affected by cancer treatment — deserve expanded specialist provision.
