Dr Ahmed El Houssieny is Founder and Medical Director of Bank MediSpa, a CQC-registered aesthetic clinic at 185 Ashley Road, Hale, Cheshire, which he opened in 2020. He trained and practised as an anaesthetist for over 15 years before moving into aesthetic medicine in 2014, specialising in advanced injectables and laser procedures. He is a Key Opinion Leader and Complications Expert for Allergan Aesthetics, a faculty member of the UK Allergan Medical Institute, and holds a seat on the Board of Trustees of the British College of Aesthetic Medicine. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Chester and Medical Director at the Resuscitation Council with a specialism in safety in aesthetics. In press and industry commentary he is known for advocating stricter training standards, ethical product sourcing, and patient safety within the largely unregulated aesthetics sector.
“fewer patients are telling loved ones about aesthetic treatments not because they're ashamed; it's more that, for many people, it's become part of their self-care routine, much like getting a facial or going to the gym.”
