Who Andrew Jay is
Andrew Jay is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Director of North East ADHD Limited, a CQC-registered private clinic trading as Divergence, based in Swalwell, Gateshead, which provides diagnosis, treatment and support for ADHD and autism. He has worked in community mental health services since qualifying as a nurse in 1998 and holds qualifications including an MA in Public Health, a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies, and non-medical prescribing registration. He has presented at the World Congress on ADHD pharmacology and is regularly invited to speak on ADHD-related issues nationally. He is the co-host of the TalkADHD podcast, produced in partnership with Divergence, which covers evidence-based topics on ADHD diagnosis, medication and neurodivergence. He was himself diagnosed with ADHD in 2020 and has drawn on lived experience alongside clinical practice in developing the company's model of post-diagnostic support.
