Mr Daniel Saleh is a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon based in Newcastle upon Tyne, holding a substantive appointment in head, neck and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is co-founder of The Beverley Hospital in Team Valley, Gateshead, where he also established the Facial Institute. He formerly directed the plastic and reconstructive surgery unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, and completed advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and head and neck reconstruction at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, as well as a DAFPRS scholarship in Vienna in 2016. He is a council member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), serving as its education lead, and co-directs The Face Course, teaching international delegates in advanced facial and eyelid surgery. He is known for published work on safety in neck lifting, preservation facelifting techniques, and for developing a bespoke breast auto-augmentation procedure, and was awarded the Cutlers' Surgical Prize (Clarke Medal) jointly with Dr Andrea Utley for the Yorkshire Micro Forcep surgical innovation.
“Post-Covid, Saleh's clinic saw a notable increase in male consultations compared with female ones: one in five, rather than one in 10 pre-Covid. His clients worry about eye bags, sagging skin and "Zoom chin", which became a problem with the rise of video calling.”
