Conjoint Associate Professor Deshan Sebaratnam is a specialist adult and paediatric dermatologist based in Sydney, Australia. He completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and his residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and was awarded the Australasian College of Dermatologists' scholarship to train at St John's Institute of Dermatology in London as a Clinical Fellow. He holds a Specialty Certificate in Dermatology from the British Association of Dermatology, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), and holds appointments with UNSW Sydney, the University of Sydney, and King's College London. He works as a Staff Specialist at Liverpool Hospital, where he leads Paediatric Dermatology and Sydney's Vascular Anomalies MDT, and also practises at The Skin Hospital. He is a member of the Medicare Benefits Schedule Review Advisory Committee and has published over 157 peer-reviewed journal articles across areas including paediatric dermatology, skin cancer, vascular anomalies, and the quality of life impact of skin disease.
