Mr Georgios Orfaniotis is a double board-certified, internationally trained plastic surgeon specialising in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, operating in central London. He holds the FRCS(Plast) and the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) qualifications, and was entered onto the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery in 2015. He worked as an NHS consultant for five years at The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where he performed complex head and neck reconstruction. He completed three years of advanced international fellowship training — in Taiwan, at Guy's and St Thomas', and at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia — before taking his consultant role in 2017. He has more than 30 published articles in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals and has been recognised as invited faculty internationally, including travelling fellowship awards from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has publicly argued that surgical facelifts are becoming the preferred permanent anti-ageing option as patient confidence in non-surgical injectables wanes.
“I have 28-year-olds asking for facelifts. It's a very significant procedure, and I'm a bit concerned when I see people choosing it as a lifestyle choice.”
