Who Juliet Bouverie OBE is

Juliet Bouverie OBE has been Chief Executive of the Stroke Association since June 2016, leading the UK's leading stroke charity, which funds research, provides services to stroke survivors and their families, and campaigns for improved stroke care. She co-chairs the Stroke Delivery Programme Board with NHS England, is a member of the NHS Assembly, and is a World Stroke Organisation Board member and Fellow. She was awarded an OBE in the Queen's 2020 New Year's Honours list for services to stroke survivors. Before joining the Stroke Association, she spent 16 years at Macmillan Cancer Support, latterly as Executive Director of Services and Influencing with a team of 800 and a budget of £150m. She has been a prominent public advocate for expanded NHS thrombectomy access, equitable life-after-stroke services, and investment in a sustainable stroke workforce. She holds a degree in modern languages from Oxford and a postgraduate diploma in management.
