Andrew Jehan has served as Connétable of St John since first being elected to that seat in 2021. He served as Assistant Chief Minister in 2022 to 2023 and as a member of the States Employment Board during the same period. He went on to serve as Minister for Infrastructure and Assistant Minister for Sustainable Economic Development from 2024 to 2026. He currently chairs the Comité des Connétables and sits on both the Privileges and Procedures Committee and the Planning Committee, all since 2026.
Standing for re-election in 2026, Jehan emphasised his commitment to parish-focused service and pledged not to seek a ministerial appointment if returned to office. His specific commitments included progressing the provision of right-sized housing in the parish, delivering amenity spaces in Sion, and completing a long-awaited Memorial Garden. He also highlighted the importance of continuing his weekly parish drop-in sessions as a means of keeping St John residents connected with their Connétable.

By April 2026, near the close of the 2022–2026 term, the Parish of St John submitted a planning application on behalf of Connétable Jehan to redevelop agricultural Field 371 (La Rue Gombrette) into a landscaped public space featuring gardens, a pavilion, a pétanque court and new planting — incorporating public-consultation feedback to retain the Cenotaph in situ, giving the scheme a clear memorial/remembrance dimension. As of May 2026 the application had not yet been determined, and no independent source reported a finished or approved memorial garden during the term. The wider community-garden project was therefore at planning-application stage when the 2022–2026 Assembly ended in June 2026.
