Chris Leck was first elected to the States Assembly in June 2026 as Deputy for St Saviour. Since then he has served simultaneously as a member of the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel, the Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel, and the Health and Social Security Scrutiny Panel.

Leck campaigned on reducing the cost of living through economic growth, fiscal discipline and reform. His principal pledges included reviewing taxes, social security contributions and fuel duties to ease pressures on islanders and small businesses, while cutting public expenditure and deregulation to balance any revenue changes. He proposed attracting high-tech and AI businesses to the island, widening immigration policy to allow non-specialist workers in gainful employment to reside in Jersey, and simplifying residential statuses by abolishing non-qualified property designations. On housing, he committed to extending first-time buyer mortgage relief across all property types, encouraging affordable housing development, and introducing a Development Land Tax on derelict greenhouse sites. He also pledged to improve patient pathways, preventative care and specialist access within the health service, and to complete hospital developments cost-effectively.

Before entering the Assembly, Leck worked as an Audit Partner with Deloitte and in the Jersey financial services sector. His public sector experience includes serving as Projects Director for the States Treasury Department and a decade as Treasurer Trustee for the Jersey Employment Trust.
