Deidre Wendy Mezbourian

Deidre Wendy Mezbourian served as Connétable for St Lawrence in the 2022–2026 Assembly, having first served the parish as a Deputy and as Connétable from 2008. Over her time in the States Assembly she held a range of offices, including Assistant Minister for Home Affairs, Chair and Vice Chair of several Scrutiny Panels, Vice Chair of the Privileges and Procedures Committee, and Chair of the Comité des Connétables. She also sat on the Planning Committee, Emergencies Council, States Employment Board, and the Bailiff's Consultative Panel.

For the 2022–2026 term, Mezbourian campaigned on a platform of parish service, community cohesion, and environmental stewardship. Her specific pledges included delivering road safety improvements on La Route de St Aubin and at Bel Royal School, increasing sheltered housing provision to help parishioners live independently, and keeping the parish rate as low as possible while maintaining services. She also committed to creating an accessible ground-floor meeting room at the Parish Hall, reviewing redundant glasshouse sites for first-time buyer housing, and continuing to oppose inappropriate development in order to protect St Lawrence's rural character.

Mezbourian noted a long record of honorary and civic service in St Lawrence spanning more than twenty years, including membership of the Honorary Police before her election as Deputy and subsequently as Connétable.

A gov.je consultation page on La Route de St Aubin safety improvements exists but appears to pre-date the 2022-2026 term, and no independent reporting from the Jersey Evening Post, Bailiwick Express, or official States records surfaced to confirm that physical works at either location were completed during that term.
