Throughout the 2022–2026 term, the St Lawrence parish rate remained the lowest among all 12 Jersey parishes. The Jersey Evening Post reported in August 2025 that Connétable Mezbourian confirmed St Lawrence held the island's lowest rate at 1.16p per quarter (up from 1.12p, a modest 3.6% rise attributed to RPI and general costs), and that a parishioner proposal to hold the rate at 1.12p was rejected by the Parish Assembly — indicating democratic constraint, not executive overspend. Mezbourian retired ahead of the June 2026 election; the 12% rate increase reported by Bailiwick Express in August 2026 occurred under her successor and falls outside the assessed term.
