Robert Parker was first elected to the States Assembly in 2026 as Deputy for St Saviour. He has served as Assistant Minister for Treasury and Resources since 2026.

For his 2026–2030 term, Parker campaigned on addressing Jersey's economic challenges through practical action rather than consultancy-led strategies. His key pledges included lowering personal taxes and reducing the cost of living, supporting small businesses and the hospitality industry, reviewing States decisions that undermine the competitiveness of Jersey's industries, and pursuing an action-based economic approach in place of reliance on consultancy reports.

Parker spent around forty years running the Hotel de France, during which he led major redevelopments including the conversion of the Lido into a medical centre and the launch of Healthhaus. Before that, he trained as an accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and worked in financial oversight roles at Gulf + Western and Paramount Pictures International, including auditing film productions in Italy. He has also served in voluntary industry roles, including as Senior Vice-President and Treasurer of the Jersey Hotel and Guest House Association and as founding Chairman of the Jersey Conference Bureau, as well as sitting on the Tourism Board and Airport Advisory Board.
