Adeline LauAcademic

Biography

Adeline Lau is a PhD candidate and Associate Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, affiliated with the Caring Futures Institute. Her PhD project focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of consumer-informed nutrition education resources for frailty, supervised by Professor Michelle Miller and Dr Chad Han. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist with over eight years of clinical experience across Singapore and Australia, in settings including rehabilitation, stroke, gastroenterology, and residential care. She completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) at Flinders University in 2012 and a Master of Science in Applied Gerontology at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2018. She is known for arguing that digital health and nutrition education tools for older adults with frailty must be co-designed with consumers to be personalised, credible, and accessible.
