Years of spending the Guernsey Insurance Fund could cover
Year-end net assets of the Guernsey Insurance Fund as a multiple of that year's spending: 6 years in 2010, 4.4 in 2021 and 3.4 in the 2026 budget. The chart shows no figures for 2011 to 2020.
Read this with the chart: Cover is year-end net assets divided by that year's spending. 2010 is the figure Peter Roffey gave in the Guernsey Press on 28 July 2026; 2021 to 2026 come from the Committee for Employment & Social Security's policy letters, and 2025 is a forecast and 2026 a budget. The chart shows no figures for 2011 to 2020. Cover is the buffer held now, not the fund's exhaustion date.
