Guernsey homes granted planning permission each year

Net homes granted full planning permission in Guernsey each year, 2013-2025, excluding outline permissions. 2025 was the highest year since 2016, when the Island Development Plan released its allocated sites.

Read this with the chart: Excludes outline permissions, which grant a principle and not a scheme. 2016 is the year the Island Development Plan was adopted and its allocated sites opened. The Planning Service’s quarterly bars sum to 240 for 2024 against 236 in its annual chart; the annual figure is used. The reference line is the States’ 2023 estimate of need; the 2024 revision is 268 to 327 a year.
