Guernsey homes permitted against homes added

Net homes granted planning permission each year against net additions to Guernsey's housing stock, 2017-2025. Permissions reached 356 in 2025; the stock grew by 62.

Read this with the chart: Two different measures. Permissions are net dwellings granted full permission in the year; additions are the Stock Bulletin’s net change in units. A permission can take up to three years to be built and some lapse, so the gap shows direction and not a one-to-one loss. The Planning Service has no control over whether permissions are taken up.
