Account Manager (Remote, International)

A mid-level role for a communications professional based outside the United Kingdom, working remotely from their home country to run client accounts across our practice areas.

About the role

Bridgehead works exclusively in sectors where communications is regulated, contested and consequential: healthcare, care, education, corporate and public affairs. We are looking for an Account Manager based overseas to take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of client relationships, working directly with partners rather than through layers of account management. You will need at least two years of experience gained in either a political or media consultancy environment, exceptional written and spoken English, and the confidence to manage clients, deadlines and deliverables independently from a remote setting. This is a fully remote position. You will be based in your home country and will not need to relocate to the United Kingdom. You will, however, need to be available during core UK working hours (broadly 09:00 to 17:30 GMT/BST) for client calls, internal meetings and time-sensitive media work.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships across a portfolio of accounts, communicating by video call, email and messaging platforms
  • Coordinate media, political and public affairs activity in support of client objectives
  • Draft press releases, briefing notes, commentary and client reports to a high standard, with native-level fluency in written English
  • Monitor the UK media and political landscape and brief clients on relevant developments
  • Liaise with journalists, parliamentarians' offices and other external stakeholders on clients' behalf
  • Support senior colleagues on new business proposals and pitches

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience in either a political or media consultancy environment (UK experience preferred but not essential; equivalent roles in other English-speaking markets or international organisations are equally valued)
  • Exceptional written English, to a standard indistinguishable from a native speaker, across press releases, briefings and client reporting
  • Fluent, confident spoken English for client calls, media liaison and internal meetings
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships and deadlines without in-person supervision
  • Genuine interest in UK politics, media and the sectors Bridgehead works in
  • Comfortable liaising directly with clients, journalists and political stakeholders across time zones
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional remote working setup

Desirable but not required

  • Existing UK media or Westminster contacts
  • Experience in health, care, education or corporate reputation work
  • Previous remote working experience across time zones
  • Familiarity with UK political institutions and the UK media landscape

Life at Bridgehead

A small team. Serious work.

01

Senior-led from day one

You will work directly alongside partners with deep sector expertise, not spend years waiting for the work to reach you.

02

Consequential briefs

Our clients operate where reputation matters most: the NHS, Parliament, regulated care, corporate governance. The work has weight.

03

No account teams

We do not run layers of account management. You will own relationships, produce the work and see it land.

04

Growth that is earned

Progression is tied to impact, not tenure. If your work is driving results, we will reflect that quickly.

05

A small, high-calibre team

We keep the team deliberately small so that every person is a senior contributor. You will not be lost in headcount.
