MedTech Intelligence
The UK medical technology
sector, mapped.
Healthcare is being rebuilt on software and hardware: diagnostics AI, surgical robotics, remote monitoring, NHS interoperability. We advise across healthcare and life sciences, so we keep a running map of the whole market: who does what, and where each platform sits.
Why we keep it
The MedTech Index is our running intelligence on the sector, maintained because reputation in this market is precisely what we do.
Bridgehead advises across healthcare, life sciences and the technology in between. When a medtech founder needs to launch a category, announce a raise or engage the NHS and regulators, or when a health system needs communications that understand the sector, they come to us because we already know the players.
Consolidation has been unusually heavy in UK medtech: several of the vendors we track have been acquired, absorbed into larger platforms, or gone through private-equity ownership changes since first appearing on our radar. We verify every profile against primary sources, Companies House filings and current press, not marketing copy, before it goes live.
Many platforms straddle multiple categories: a surgical imaging company that doubles as a diagnostics AI vendor, a triage platform now owned by a remote monitoring group. The coloured tags on each profile show where a platform's functions reach: solid for primary, outlined for secondary.
