HOW WE MEASURE

GROUPS

Each size band uses carehome.co.uk’s Top 20 list for that year. The reports do not state the home-count thresholds, so the bands overlap and groups move between them.

FOLLOWERS

A group’s total is its own accounts plus every home’s accounts, on Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. Printed editions captured the rounded numbers pages display.

COVERAGE

Articles from the last twelve months, split into local, trade and national outlets. Only the 2025 edition measured coverage; earlier editions did not.
