Guernsey's grant to its fee-paying colleges, against inflation
General grant-aid paid by the States of Guernsey to Blanchelande College, Elizabeth College and The Ladies' College, against what the same grant would have been on RPIX alone. It rose 246% over six years on an escalator set by amendment in 2017, across the same period in which the States-funded eleven-plus route into those colleges was closed.
Read this with the chart: General grant-aid only. It is separate from the Special Place Holder fees the States paid for eleven-plus-selected pupils at the colleges, which ran down to nil as the last holders left in 2024/25. The RPIX comparison is the Committee's own, stated in its 2025 policy letter.
