Guernsey has no statutory Freedom of Information law - only a voluntary Code of Practice with a 20-working-day response target. Every request logged on the States’ own disclosure log since the current term began, 150 in total, tracked here for how long an answer took and what it actually said.
Current States term only: requests logged 1 July 2025 to 20 August 2026. The States’ full disclosure log runs back to 2014 and holds roughly 770–820 entries in total - the figures on this page are not a full-history statistic, only this term’s.
“Working days” is a plain count: Monday-to-Friday only, with no States of Guernsey public-holiday calendar applied, so every working-day figure above (and the on-target rate) slightly overstates how many true working days actually elapsed.
Outcome verification is partial: only 63 of the 150 outcome classifications below were individually hand-verified against the full response letter. The other 87 kept an automated call (no refusal/exemption/not-held language detected in the extracted PDF text) rather than being individually re-read - flagged row by row in the table further down.
