Aderio Rocha

Rocha trained as a nurse in Portugal. In his own account for his old school's anniversary site, he qualified in nursing at the Escola Superior de Enfermagem S. Jose de Cluny in 2006 and worked as a community and family nurse at the Santana health centre in Madeira. He added a postgraduate qualification in economics and management of health services at Universidade Fernando Pessoa and a master's in health services management at the University of Minho, which he finished in 2011. Hamberley's own biography lists a nursing degree, a postgraduate degree in finance and management of health services, and an MBA in economy and finances in health services.

He moved to the UK in 2011 or early 2012 after a recruitment fair, joining a British care company as a senior nurse in London. By June 2012 he was deputy director of nursing, and in January 2014 he became a regional manager covering Surrey and Hampshire. By his own account he then served as a clinical director and as director of specialist nursing and innovation management for England and Wales.

He has said he became an operations director in 2017, with responsibility across ten districts of England, and that he took on the infection control director role when the Covid-19 pandemic began in March 2020. In November 2019 he won the Care Operations / Area Manager award at the National Care Awards. Hamberley's biography also lists Regional Clinical Specialist among his roles.

At Hamberley, Rocha was in the senior team by late 2024. CQC registration records name him as the individual responsible for services at several Hamberley provider companies. In September 2026, as Managing Director, he commented on Montague House in Brampton becoming the third Hamberley home rated Outstanding for Caring, and on every inspected Hamberley home being rated Good by the CQC or Very Good by the Care Inspectorate Scotland. In July 2026 he walked the Alzheimer's Society Trek 26 with a team from Elstow Manor.
