BIOGRAPHY
Alykhan Kachra is co-chief executive of Country Court, a Peterborough-based, family-run care home group, alongside his brother Al-Karim Kachra. Their father, Abdul Kachra, is chairman. The group began in 1983 with one home, Beech Lodge in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, and expected to run nearly 50 homes by the end of 2023.
Kachra studied law and joined Country Court in 2006, according to the Kibo Holdings team page, where he helped shape the company's direction and growth strategy. The same page says he runs the group day to day with his brother and focuses on care operations, hospitality and the development and capital spending programme. Al-Karim, an accountant, focuses on finance, HR, IT and projects.
Company releases and press coverage give his title as managing director from at least 2013 to October 2019. Lincolnshire Live called him CEO in April 2020, and Country Court's own releases have used Co-CEO since 2021. Companies House lists him as a director of Country Court Care Group Limited from January 2018 and of Kibo Holdings Limited from June 2018, among many group companies.
He is quoted in the group's announcements on its awards and openings. In 2025 carehome.co.uk named Country Court a Top 20 Large Care Home Group for the tenth year running, on a group score of 9.7 out of 10 across 47 homes. In 2023 two of its new-build homes, Camberwell Lodge and Castor Lodge, were featured in Knight Frank's Luxury Care Home Guide.
