BIOGRAPHY

Sean Kime is Chief Executive Officer of Porthaven Care Homes, the private-pay care home group Kime co-founded. Porthaven opened its first home in Cheshire on 29 April 2010 and now runs 23 care homes in England, with more than 1,900 staff caring for over 1,300 residents, according to the financing adviser Centrus.

Kime was a director of Porthaven Care Homes Limited from 17 October 2011, and Companies House also lists Kime as company secretary from 31 October 2011. Porthaven's own posts from 2020 and 2023 call Kime co-founder and Commercial Director, and Kime spoke in 2020 about a hands-on role in designing new homes with architects, interior designers and landscape architects.

Founder John Storey was Porthaven's chief executive in 2022 and left the board of Porthaven Care Homes Limited on 22 May 2023. By 1 June 2024 a long-standing interiors supplier described Kime as CEO. Kime signs Porthaven's gender pay gap reports as Chief Executive Officer, and in January 2026 Kime was quoted as chief executive on a £235m loan facility from Starwood Capital. No source found gives the date Kime took the title.
