Revenue Service backlog: outstanding items at baseline and now

Outstanding tax and contributions work at the States of Guernsey Revenue Service on 16 March 2026 (the recovery baseline) and 31 August 2026: personal tax, corporate tax, and income tax and contributions cases, per the Service's September 2026 backlog report.

16 March 202631 August 2026

Read this with the chart: Counts are work items, not individuals: one taxpayer can account for more than one. They cover historic work from tax years up to and including 2024, and a further 35,013 items of new work arrived over the same period outside this backlog. Personal tax assessments are updated to 10 September 2026. Repayment and bereavement rows are in the report but omitted here for scale. The Service says earlier published backlog figures were inaccurate or not comparable, so no earlier series exists.
