BIOGRAPHY
Daniel Rowark-Donowa is Chief Executive Officer of Tanglewood Care Homes, a Lincolnshire-based provider that runs 22 care homes across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. He has held the role since December 2023. The group's own website describes him as having 25 years in social care.
He started as a care assistant with Barchester Healthcare in Cheshire in 2002. He trained as a registered nurse at the University of Manchester (2009 to 2012), qualified into a nursing post at Barchester in October 2012, and became Head of Community there in 2013. He moved to Barchester's Colchester operation as Commissioning Deputy Manager in April 2015.
From January 2016 he worked for Hallmark Care Homes in Suffolk and Essex, first as Clinical Care Manager and then as General Manager of Bucklesham Grange in Ipswich (May 2017) and Anisha Grange in Billericay (December 2018). In June 2020 he joined Halcyon Care Homes as Operations Director and became Managing Director in February 2021. Halcyon opened its tenth home in Northampton in late 2022, the year Anchor acquired the group. He left in March 2023.
He then became Chief Executive of Senior Living by Tanglewood, the group's premium brand, and a September 2023 brochure lists him as Co-CEO of Tanglewood Care Services Ltd. Companies House shows him as a director of Tanglewood Care Services Limited and of 29 other Tanglewood, Torwood and Origin group companies, most from 1 April 2025. Under his leadership the group opened its 19th home, Trafford Waters in Greater Manchester, in May 2025, and announced its 22nd, Oadby Manor in Leicestershire, in March 2026 with an April opening.
