Building a consumer health brand?
We run PR for companies in this market: from category launches and funding announcements to regulatory communications and the press cycle that comes with selling directly to consumers, employers or insurers.
Sleep, meditation & relaxation app
Calm is a consumer app for sleep, meditation and relaxation, with a separate Calm Health product distributed to employers and health plans.
The read
Calm remains one of the best-known consumer wellness apps, built around sleep stories, meditation and relaxation content, and in September 2025 it spun out a standalone Calm Sleep app with its own subscription. Its Calm Health arm, formed from the 2022 acquisition of Ripple Health Group, sells behavioural-health access through employers and insurers and expanded its reach via the Solera health-plan network in January 2026.
In a leadership shakeup reported in May 2026, CEO David Ko stepped down to pursue an AI-safety-for-children venture; no successor CEO had been publicly named as of this profile's last check.
The Bridgehead view
An unresolved CEO vacancy at a company still trying to prove its enterprise health arm can offset a maturing consumer subscription business is exactly the kind of leadership gap that invites a takeover approach.
