Merseyside-based surgical training company whose LapAR augmented-reality laparoscopic simulator and Totum CPD platform are used across UK NHS surgical training deaneries.

The read

Inovus Medical's LapAR combines physical laparoscopic training hardware with augmented-reality software to simulate surgical procedures, sold to NHS surgical training deaneries and hospital trusts including Cambridge University Hospitals, which bought 15 units, and used within the East of England Deanery's gynaecology training programme.

In May 2025 it opened a new innovation centre in Liverpool City Region backed by a £1m regional grant, and in January 2025 partnered with fellow surgical-training company UpSurgeOn, extending its training platform's reach within the wider surgical education sector.

The Bridgehead view

Inovus's NHS deanery-level adoption, training programmes rather than individual hospital purchases, is a more defensible scale story than a simple unit-sales count, and worth leading with over headline funding figures.
