Sarah Sabater is CEO and co-founder of CareYourWay, the UK home care franchisor she started in South Devon in 2005 and began franchising in 2021.

BIOGRAPHY

Sarah Sabater is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of CareYourWay, a UK home care franchisor. She started the business with her husband, Manuel Sabater, in South Devon in 2005 and has been CEO since the company began franchising in 2021. CareYourWay describes its network as over a dozen families, each running a local home care office, and says 92% of its franchise partners are family-run.

Sabater's own account is that she began in social care at 21, when she acquired her first care home. The CareYourWay South Devon site says she built, started and ran three residential care homes before deciding to work in home care. In 2005, after her father was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she and Manuel Sabater saw gaps in home care and set up their own service in South Devon. Companies House shows her as a director of CareYourWay Homecare Ltd from its incorporation on 9 December 2005, and LinkedIn lists her as Registered Manager and Co-Founder until June 2021. The couple's children Jonathan, Yasmine and Giles later joined the business and now sit on its leadership team.

CareYourWay Franchising Ltd was incorporated in April 2021 with Sabater as a director, and she took the CEO title that June. Since then she has been named a finalist in several care and franchising awards. She joined the Care Innovation Summit Advisory Board in September 2024 and was appointed an Encouraging Women into Franchising (EWiF) ambassador for the South West in February 2025. On 4 March 2025 she sat on the home care panel at the Leading Women in Care Awards in London. She was a finalist for Executive of the Year at the 2025 Leaders in Care Awards and a finalist in two categories at the 2025 EWiF Awards.

In April 2024 she told Care Home Professional that a CareYourWay franchise partner in the Stockport area had waited 28 weeks for the Care Quality Commission to complete registration interviews, against a publicly advertised 12 weeks. She said she was talking to senior CQC executives about the application process for new home care providers. In 2025 CareYourWay won the British Franchise Association's Franchisor of the Year award in the Emerging category, according to her own LinkedIn post, and in 2026 it was named a finalist for Franchisor of the Year at the European Franchise Awards.
