Annie Syed is Managing Director of Homelium Care, a home care and live-in care provider with five branches: Essex, West Sussex and Surrey, Dorset, Hampshire and Northampton. Her LinkedIn profile describes her as co-founder and Managing Director and dates the role from January 2023. Homelium's own website says homecare.co.uk named it a Top 20 Large Home Care Group in the UK for both 2025 and 2026, and that its Dorset team won Outstanding Care Team of the Year at the Dorset Care Awards.

Syed came to care from recruitment. Her LinkedIn history starts with sales order processing at Safestyle UK (2010 to 2012) and an F&I role at Carcraft (2012 to 2013). She joined Office Angels in Bradford in October 2013 as a principal recruitment consultant who supplied temporary staff across Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. After a six-month contract as group talent partner at EMIS Group in 2017, she returned to Office Angels as business manager of the Bradford branch, a post she held until April 2021. She then ran Medicall Temporary Staffing Solutions, a supplier of temporary staff to the healthcare sector, as a director until April 2023.

In June 2025 she told her local press that Homelium's first Top 20 recognition "was earned by our team", and in August 2025 she announced the Northampton branch, led by registered branch manager Aude N'Tandou. In January 2026 she appeared on the Orta'Know podcast to discuss compliance and hiring in home care. Acquisition International named her Best Home Care Services Business Leader 2026 (UK) in its Influential Businesswoman Awards.
