David Glover

Chief Executive Officer, Caremark

David Glover is Chief Executive Officer of Caremark, the UK home care franchisor. A former franchise solicitor, he joined Caremark in 2014.

BIOGRAPHY

David Glover is Chief Executive Officer of Caremark Limited, the UK franchisor of the Caremark home care brand. The company is based in Worthing, West Sussex, and its franchise network has more than 140 offices across the UK and Ireland, each independently owned and operated. Glover joined Caremark in 2014 as franchise director, became managing director in 2018 and took the chief executive role in October 2021, first as joint CEO alongside finance director Lisa Fyfe. Caremark's team page now lists him as CEO.

He trained as a solicitor, completing his Law Society Finals at the University of Law, and spent 1992 to 1996 at asb law, where he was head of franchising. Caremark says he was ranked among the UK's leading franchise solicitors in 1996. He then left the law to take the UK master licence for Subway, building the brand across the South East until the business was sold in 2001. Caremark says his own restaurant recorded the highest sales of any in Europe. He went on to run franchise development for the UK master licensee of Mail Boxes Etc. from 2001 to 2004, and from 2004 to 2014 he was commercial director of MAX Serviced Apartments, a branded serviced-apartment business that operated hotels as a franchisee.

At Caremark he took over as managing director in June 2018. In a 2023 interview with Home Care Insight he said he made every head office employee shadow a carer in the field for two days. After the death of founder Kevin Lewis in 2021, Glover and Fyfe kept the founder's values, set up a senior management team so that decisions were no longer made by one person, and split quality work from business development by hiring five quality managers. He has spoken on technology in home care at the Homecare Association's digital seminar in January 2023 and at UK Care Week, and on franchise recruitment at a British Franchise Association seminar in June 2026.

Homecare Insight named him a Power List business executive in 2022. He was a finalist for Executive of the Year at the Leaders in Care Awards in 2022 and 2025, and Care Talk Magazine has listed him in its Social Care Top 30 in 2024 and 2026. Caremark won Franchisor of the Year (Established) at the 2025 BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards and Bronze in the Franchisor of the Year category at the European Franchise Awards in Brussels in September 2026.
